ITE Welcomes Sjogren and Disney-Haufe from Illinois Institute of Transportation Engineers

The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Student Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers was pleased to welcome Mr. Timothy P. Sjogren and Ms. Sara Disney Haufe from the Illinois Institute of Transportation Engineers. Mr. Sjorgren is the President of Illinois ITE, and Ms. Haufe is the Student Outreach Coordinator. Both are registered Professional Engineers in Illinois with experience as private consultants in Champaign, Chicago, and the East Coast. Both are now employees at Traffic Analysis & Design, Inc. in Chicago.

Mr. Sjoren and Ms. Haufe met with SIUE-ITE and discussed their career experience in traffic engineering, getting involved in ITE after graduation, and scholarship opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students. They then took questions from students about resumes, professional licensing, and the difference between public and private sector work.

SIUE ITE Chapter Takes 4th place in Traffic Bowl

SIUE ITE chapter took 4th place in the Midwestern Institute of Transportation Engineers traffic bowl in Dubuque Iowa on June 27th. Members of the team included: Michael Williamson, Mostafa Reisi, and Jing Huang.
