About Us

Our student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is one of the largest and most active student organizations on campus. We currently have about 75 members and are continuously growing. ASCE's mission is to provide essential value to our members, their careers, our partners and the public by developing leadership, advancing technology, advocating lifelong learning and promoting the profession.

----Activities to watch for----

  • We are looking to partake in various community service projects including - Habitat for Humanity, Adopt a Highway. If you have any information that may prove helpful please feel free to contact any officers.

 

 
  • CONCRETE CANOE & STEEL BRIDGE TEAMS are Preparing for the 2010 Season

  •  Concrete Canoe Placed 1st at regionals and will be competing in Tuscaloosa, AL for Nationals

  • Steel Bridge Place 3rd overall at regionals and will be competing in Las Vegas, NV for Nationals

  • T-shirts will be on sale in the Atrium during JESC's Cheap Lunch days, which are wednesday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
  • The ASCE Chapter has Engineering Paper with the SIUE logo on it for sale!!!!!.
  • We are trying to implement a recycling program in the EB. So look for the recycling bins, you can put bottles as well as aluminum cans in them. Thanks for doing your part.
  • All five of the current ASCE officers recently traveled to Denver, CO for the annual WSCL conference, it was a tremendous success, and we look forward to sending future officers.

During the Fall semester of 2006 we built a brick patio outside of the Engineering Building. Our chapter is now selling personalized bricks for $50. Each brick can have up to 3 lines of text and 14 characters per line of any inscription.
