Course Description
Application of principles of chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics to engineered systems for water purification, wastewater treatment, air pollution control, hazardous waste management, solid waste management, and noise pollution control.

Prerequisites
Upper-division civil engineering standing or consent of instructor.  Requires chemistry.

General Course objective
To develop an understanding of environmental engineering and an appreciation of its role in other engineering disciplines and society.
